Laserium in Van Nuys
Laserium ist ein bekannter Name für jeden, der seit ein paar Jahrzehnten existiert. Die ursprüngliche Laserium Lightshow wurde 1973 im Planetarium im Griffith Observatory erstellt und in 40 anderen Städten von den späten 1970ern bis Mitte der 1990er Jahre neu erstellt. Nach einem gescheiterten Versuch, Laserium in Hollywood im Jahr 2009 zu gründen, wurde das Unternehmen an einem neuen Standort in Van Nuys wiedereröffnet. Sie haben die originalen Beatles-, Pink Floyd- und Led Zeppelin-Titel aus ihrem umfangreichen Katalog an Lichtshows wieder auferstehen lassen Künstler zum Repertoire.
Die Technologie ist von einem Projektor und einer Leinwand am Griffith Observatory auf sechs Laserprojektoren und drei Videoprojektoren mit zusätzlicher Computergrafik angewachsen. Sie haben auch Nebel hinzugefügt, um Lichtstrahlen durch den Raum zu zeigen, und einen Gitterstoff, um 3D-Effekte mit den Lichtstrahlen hinzuzufügen. "Wir haben zwei California Certified Laserists." sagt Jonathan Todd, Vice President für Marketing & Sales für Laserium. Es hat Jahre gedauert, ihre Fähigkeiten auf diesem Niveau zu entwickeln. "Man erkennt, dass all dies mit einem geraden Lichtstrahl erzeugt wird." Todd fährt fort. "Es gibt Hunderte von Spiegeln, sowohl drehende Spiegel als auch stationäre Spiegel. Die beiden arbeiten wie eine Trommel und ein Bass, was einen Beat schafft, der visuell gut ist, wenn er gut gemacht wird."
Sie planen, die aktuellen Shows zu behalten, werden aber Live-Tribute-Bands mit Lasern hinzufügen, sowie Live-Original-Künstler, die helfen werden, das Licht-Exponat passend zu ihrer Musik zu gestalten. Eine Show wird mit David Arkenstone, dem New-Age-Musiker, der Sound von The Nature Company ist, geschaffen. Seine Show, Into the Light genannt , wird eine "sanfte, leisen sinnliche Reise in die Erde", sagt Todd, "Wir werden die Lasershow mit dem Künstler erstellen, um seine Vision zu interpretieren, und er wird live auftreten."
Die Familie Means kam an einem Freitagabend vorbei und nahm sowohl die Pink Floyd- als auch die Led Zeppelin-Shows auf. "Es ist eine komplette Überstimulation", sagt Alyssa, 17, "Du kannst ganz nüchtern durchgehen und du wirst denken, dass du high bist. Ich habe mein Facebook aufgespielt und meine Freunde waren überall drüber."
"Es reicht bis in alle Zeiten", sagt ihr Vater Zach, der bereits Erfahrung mit der Griffith Observatory hatte.Die Produktion ist definitiv beeindruckender, wenn Sie das Live-Wesen der Kunst schätzen und wie sich die Laseristen von der Masse ernähren. Für mit Film-Spezialeffekten übersättigte Zuschauer mag das Lichtspiel ein wenig ... gut, zahm erscheinen.

- Die besten Plätze sind in der Mitte des Theaters.
